Cephalotus

Cephalotus, commonly known as the Albany pitcher plant or Australian pitcher plant, is a unique carnivorous species native to the peaty swamps of southwestern Australia. The sole species in its genus, Cephalotus follicularis, it features two distinct types of leaves: flat, photosynthetic leaves and modified pitcher-shaped leaves that trap insects. These pitchers resemble moccasins and develop a deep red hue under intense light, while remaining green in shade.
