Utricularia
Utricularia, also known as Bladderworts, are a Carnivorous Plant that have insect traps below the soil or water surface. With non carnivorous leaves visibly showing above the soil surface.
Many species produce masses of beautiful flowers for most of the year.
Climate
Temperate – Grows well in Temperate conditions. EG with a Summer/Winter. A preference for cooler conditions
Habitat
Edges of Wet swamp locations. Where the ground is very moist.
Cultivation
Light - Grows well in bright, well lit areas. Performs better under strong light.
Water - Keep soil very wet/moist and plants watered regularly.
Soil - Standard soil type is Sand 40%/ Sphagnum Peat 60%.
Or Sphagnum Moss 100% depending on species.
or a sphagnum peat/perlite mix.
Temperature - Grows well with cooler ,spring like conditions. 10 - 28 degrees celsius.
