Darlingtonia
Darlingtonia, commonly known as the cobra lily or California pitcher plant, is a striking carnivorous plant native to the cool, boggy habitats of northern California and Oregon. Its name comes from the cobra-like appearance of its tubular leaves, which arch and swell at the top, resembling a rearing serpent with a forked tongue. These modified leaves form intricate traps that lure insects with nectar and bright coloration.
